Top Ten You Tube Streams That I Actually Watch, and You Should Too!

Most lists are filled with nonsense, nothing but preconceived ads, and usually the people/product buy their way up and onto the list just so it gets people talking, or increases the search on Google. I have accumulated a list of ten You Tube streamers that I personally watch. I should note that these streamers may also do twitch streams, but for the sake of this post, I only reference their streams on You Tube.  The order of this list is of no particular consequence or by any means a reflection of my personal likes/dislikes of the said streamers/producers. Each-and-every streamer/content-provider listed here, there are positives, and negatives of their videos, but mostly I've grown to respect each-and-every one of these streamers, and their avid success of the medium. Granted, there are many, and I mean many more people on both Twitch and You a tube that are superior in the ways of marketing, and monetization, however, that doesn't leave much for content.
So let this list be of future, and present content, as everything itself comes back around to about face, emerging into the future with a new wave of youth  and frantic energy that the old, tired, and successful tend to lose with stagnation. Truth-be-told, you likely never have heard of any of these streamers, and I can understand that they are likely building brands, and having fun, which is the basis of all endeavors. So please feel free to look up any/all of these streamers, for at the very leat, you'll be greatly entertained.

    1)  First up, BinkDeadpool. This Videogame streamer comes off as very quirky, but is both entertaining, and approachable, almost welcoming in how he streams. He's very inclusive to those who message him during the stream, and more importantly he streams credible content that people like to watch. He helps out other streamers, and he also has an array of knowledge he pulls from pop culture, and everyday life. He was recently playing through Final Fantasy VII, and plans on playing through the newest game once that is released, sometime early next year.
BinkDeadpool is what a quintessential streamer should be doing, he's very new to it, but feels like a seasoned veteran. He also doesn't pull punches, and by that cliche I mean he's able to be like able, and politically incorrect, but entertaining all-around. Quite frankly, we need more people streaming like this, because it's inclusive. Not speaking to the man's character, as I do not know him personally, he appears to be enriched in what is known as the "nerd culture", and is friendly, and enjoyable to watch. I find his streams to be like testing the water, but with a knowledge that goes beyond just streaming, it's about charisma, and playing well off whatever is happening at the moment of the livestream. He's very professional in this manner, despite his rookie time livestreaming.
Overall, BinkDeadpool leads off this list, not because he's famous, nor is he better or worst than anyone else on this list: it's merely because he's that in-between of professional, and sweating amateur. I do recommend you watch him play, as he's new, an up-and-comer, but far from a slow starter. What makes him talented though, is that he's also pretty damn good at the games he plays, and his Final Fantasy commentary is nothing short of hilarious.

     2) LordRage- this guy is right up my alley of streamers. Perhaps one of the best examples of someone playing for the love of gaming, Lord Rage is one of the best all-around survival horror experts I've seen. His following proves it, and if he doesn't even absent-mindedly hold a professional time, he has to be setting a world record on perfect playthroughs of games such as: Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and even old-school Dino Crisis. His play throughs are nearly flawless, and they are usually without voice, meaning you just watch the game get played and hope you can emulate the sort of success he has in your own play through. Of all the streamers I'm going to list on here, he is one of the few semi-professional gamers that does more than just play the game, he strives to perfect it in any way he can, and his skills grow with every playthrough. He's exciting, and plays games beyond the concept of casual. At first it seems like a regular playthrough, and unlike such monotony, it becomes apparent when it makes the game look too easy on the hardest level, that Lord Rage isn't just some kid streaming, he could be the next name in speed running, or completionist world records.

On one of his most recent playthroughs (Dec. 21st, 2016, I believe)  Lord Rage ran his personal best of Biohazard 3 (Resident Evil: Nemisis in the states) and had beaten the game in under an hour. I personally watched the run. I believe if he had t been caught up by certain enemies, and stuck on certain debris in the game (debris is a blanket term for angles, sides, jutting stairwells, and pretty much anything that is in the path of the sprite, or avatar that could hinder a perfect run) that he may have easily taken the fastest time in the world, breaking a record that has been held for a little over  a decade. At 59:09, he is easily in the top fifty best in the world currently, and likely he is going to beat the record some time in the upcoming year. His run was practically flawless, and having seen the first run of this game back before YT even existed (Leaderboards from many sources would list and show video of the runs)  there is definitely room for improvement, and LordRage is one of the few people I've seen get close to any run on The RE series.
Is his goal to have the fastest time on all the games? Doubtful, I think he just really, really loves horror games, and I don't blame him. The resident evil series, for all transparency, isn't my favorite series, I'm much more a Silent Hill fan, obviously from the posts on this blog. However, I'm slowly becoming a fan of the resident evil series, and I'm very much looking forward to VII.
I don't like to play favorites with this list, as each is particularly interesting in his or her own way, but Lord Rage is one of my favorite streamers on You Tube. He takes games I used to love as a child, and makes them look like they're child's play, running them as though he coded the damn thing himself,....hell, probably better than the engineers that put the damn things together! Regardless of sheer talent, when Dark Lord does speak on his videos he does so in a manner that is fitting to the gameplay, but it is just passing commentary to the real action: the gameplay.
Just watching his most recent (late November at the time of writing this) playthrough of the Japanese version of Reissent Evil 2 on the hardest level, ascertaining an "S" rating with Claire Redfield, it became apparent that he was absent mindedly attempting a speedrun at times, and a perfect run at others. Regardless, I found the chat itself was more nervous for the excitement he was drawing than the pressure he was under to get his ranking. This means Lord Rage brings excitement, skill, and drama to each-and-every stream. I highly recommend you watch his channel.

3) HoneyBeeCmdr- the next streamer on the list isn't really a livestreamer, but his videos are interesting to watch nonetheless. If you're a mortal Kombat fan, and judging by who comes to the site, I'm sure many of you are, please take note of the professional player HoneyBeeCmdr of the Critical Reaction fighting clan for how to play one of my favorite characters: D'Vorah. Granted, he plays a mean Flash via Injustice, but watching his ability to master the Killer Bee of MK is where he really shines. I too am an avid player of D'Vorah, and respect the kind of honed skills he has had over the past two years. I discovered Honeybee from watching the ESL tourneys, and just on the circuit, and I can say even if you tune in monthly to his stream, and by chance catch a new video, win-or-lose, his skills are both fascinating, and at times frustrating. He is considered by many to be the best D'Vorah player in the world, the same way SonicFox5000 is considered the best Alien, Erron Black, and mostly any other character, player in the world. As a fighting game enthusiast, and former competitor in the older tournaments of you're, I find a deep respect for someone who plays this character well, and well enough to have me want to watch the channel over and over for both tips, and sheer awe. Not every video's a winner, but once on a roll, HoneyBeeCmdr. is one of the best Mortal Kombat X players I've ever seen.

4) LadyBoobsViews is probably the only female on my list, but here's why: quite frankly, most female Twitch, and You Tube streamers are  mostly playing games that are mere backdrops, but what makes LadyBoobs different, almost unparalleled is her details to the subject. She's a one woman army of Information on professional wrestling. She does analysis that rivals the stupidity of What Culture, and what that's become, and she does something unprecedented: she simply speaks her opinion, discusses both the facts, and the analytics of wrestling, and makes it enjoyable. She may not have the budget of What Culture, but if you're a true wrestling fan, take it from a wrestling fan that she quite frankly doesn't need the damn budget, she's great at keeping my interest of the topic, and one of her latest videos discussing Goldberg and Lesnar are both fun, and despite some minor misconstruity, appeal to most wrestling fans, while being well-spoken analysis, something refreshing from What Culture making political statements and ignoring the damn sport altogether. I believe that if she continues, and grows as a streamer, and overall broadcaster, she could rival, if not equal the likes of What Culture in the future, but time will tell.  Most recently she wished po old a happy Christmas, and played through The Last of Us
To be honest, LadyBoobs is encyclopedic in her knowledge, coupled with a love of the industry, and a platform to entertain with her wit and her interesting personality. She's a tad centric, but aren't we all? I'd daresay I'm calling the kettle black in saying so, but she knows what she's speaking about, and whether or not I agree with all her opinions, I find her candid look at wresting to be nonetheless entertaining and useful.

5) Team Spooky- here is a livestream that does it different, and makes them special. I spread of a gaming team that competes, Team Spooky brings to you live reactions, and play action of gaming tournaments, and connecting people with clans of fighting genres like King of Fighters, Tekken 7, and   Street Fighter V. Based in Brroklyn, New York, Team Spooky moderates gaming competitions in the five boroughs, while representing fresh commentary, smooth gameplay, and some of the best professional streaming on You Tube. PewDiePie would be blushing if he were able to glow underneath that vampiric whiteness. Team Spooky is another example of reinventing the wheel, building the better product, and launching it to thousands of followers. If they aren't hosting a fighting tournament, they are on the front lines with their streaming video podcast that is full of interesting analysis, and color commentary that brings light to this ever-popular trend of eSports that's constantly on the rise.
Team Spooky is a must-watch for anyone that likes eSports but might be tired of sitting through  another round of CounterStrike. Sure others broadcast these eLeague-style matches, but none do it better than Team Spooky in both presentation and writing from this humble blogger's opinion.  So if you're a fan of fighting games, if you're a fan of competitive gaming at all, you need to follow Team Spooky.

    6) Okay, if you're into streaming at all, if you watch gamers, or are a fan of Fallout anything, then the next person on this list is of no need of introductuion. Many a True Nerd. He's done it all in-terms of what can be said/done/did of Fallout 3 and 4, respectively. Other than The St1tcher, which is next on the list, Many a True Nerd, created by a great, hinroable gamer name Johnathan is one of my favorite channels, and proof that this isn't just about games, it's all personality, and the -some: it's about heart. He's a funny guy, and one of the best Fallout players in the world. He has completed the games numerous time on different modes, and has done no kill runthroughs of all the games, which were thought to be impossible in 4. He did numerous runs that are textbook perfection or near definition.
Johnathan was one of the reason I started to watch streamers in the first place, and for several years now, he's been one of the best when it comes to putting up content. Unfortunately, most of his work isn't done live, but is edited and cut for time, but he is still one of the best gamers out there, and in many ways, synonymous now with Fallout, and Bethesda titles. He does play other games, but I highly recommend you watch his kill everything runs of New Vegas and Fallout 3. I literally busted a gut laughing at his antics, and that British dry commentary that just gives his content a unique spin. Truly a splendid time is watching Many a True Nerd, and if you take anything away,  heed this advice: subscribe immodestly if you haven't already, it is worth every single episode on his channel for that sort of et entrainment. Hilarious!

   7) The Sw1tcher, or as many know the channel: Two Best Friends. These guys pioneered the streaming game, taking influences from old b-rated horror specials, and Mystery Sicence Theateer 3000, Two Best Friends are a staple, like their counterparts Game Grumps, they started this whole thing, and do it best. No list would be complete without them, and on my list especially, the very first channel I started watching, even before Many a True Nerd....but that was a close second. These guys are a treasure trove of video game facts, and each one has a personality as big as the other. I don't think I need to go into a great amount of detail over this particular choice, as I'd assume, and safely assume at that, is that most of those who read this list have heard of Two Best Friends before. All I will say is that if you haven't, just look up the Sw1tcher now, and see the history of the internet up-close and personal with years and years of streaming and editing. If you want a glimpse into the future of what mainstream entertainment is going to look like; look no further than The Sw1tcher.

8).  liveScifi, (how it appears on the actual channel) is a break from all this gaming. There are usually overnight live feeds that are done in supposedly "haunted houses" or in the woods of an area where "Bigfoot" may have been spotted. The channel is fun to watch live, because of the interaction with others in the chat, and also to see other people's reaction to what  appears to be paranormal and supernatural phenomenons. The channel is a fun little escape, and if you're a fan of the the obscure, or just spoofs and spooks, this is the sort of thing that brings together the superstitious with the ridiculous. It's also a stream that's usually live every single week, and it tends to be one you can jump on and off, and still enjoy it without missing too much. The chat will usually give you an idea of when something legitimately creepy occurred.  Although not the most exciting channel to choose from, liveScifi is a break from the mundane of youtube streaming.

9) UnCAGEDgamez is another Mortal Kombat X/Injustice stream, but also deals with DC based information, and reaction trailers, which seem to be popular with those darn kids. UnCAGEDgamez is also a great Johnny Cage player. He does tutorials, albeit it's more for his personal betterment, but he's also someone I've been following for a few years now. He got into streaming several years ago; listing information on the then anticipated release of Mortal Kombat X. He did a great deal of videos on the tie-in comic that was acted out panel-by-panel in an attempt to build hype for the games's release. Others had done this as well, but not with the continuation and fortitude of UnCAGEDGamez, at least not with the same success.  In similar realms of the likes of Angry Joe, alas with less anger, there is more of a hype sensation that UnCAGEDgamez seems to permit to his audience. However, I just respect him as a Johnny Cage player, which until I switched to D'Vorah was my mainstay. Check him out if you're again an MK fan or a DC Comics nut.

10) finally for the end of this countdown, UpUpDownDown is the latest stream I've been following with Austin Creed aka Xavier Woods of WWE fame. He's a very interesting guy, and his channel isn't necessarily a new idea, but he cashed in on the video game streaming craze. Still, it's not like he doesn't play video games, he's a nerd at heart, and interacts well with his fanbase when plausible, but the setup is fun because many wrestlers come onto the show and compete in fun/exciting games for prizes, or in the case of the losers; punishments. UpUpDownDown still has a great quality of entertainment to it, and seeing as Xavier is himself, obviously, a professional entertainer, the show is as professional as you can get on YouTube. Still, the site is fun, it is sort of the future of what we are going to see come from the rest of YouTube in-terms of quality, but many YouTubers are already on the same level, if not surpassing the quality of content and visual/audio production. Granted, the borders set up with YouTube keep it from being of the highest caliber, but UpUpDownDown does a good job at keeping the quality at a maximum.

So there you have it, the top ten streams I personally enjoy with a few exceptions missing. Although I had one honorable mention, and that is Burkey. A young and upcoming streamer that focuses on CoD and other FPS as games, but most CoD (Call of Duty) zombie mode. He gets an honorable mention solely because he's highly entertaining, and not too shabby at the game, which to me are two major qualities to actually perform at the level of professional, and even semi-pro streamers. There are thousands, if-not hundreds of thousands more, but Burkey has the anomaly of being very young, I believe he's barely twenty-one, and he's got the most room to improve to catch up with the rest mentioned in this list. Check out Burkey yourself, and you'll see just what I mean.

Thank you for reading the Malacast Editoral, and a happy New Year! I'll be doing a great deal more posts this January. As mentioned in the December post, I'll be adding new ideas, and hoping to interact more often with my audience.  Thank you again, and have a great week!
