To those who have visited my site, may have seen my links to several interesting websites that have unique qualities (excluding Amazon.com) but the one line that may interest you most is to the Exquisite Corpse Journal. Although the name of the site is a bit obscene, it is one of the most under-appreciated sites to date. In my opinion, this site is by far an interesting look on the works of great writers such as Andrei Coorescu, who edits the magazine Exquisite Corpse Journal. Poems from Coorescu, and other writers can be found in the pages that span many different topics. The site also promotes and distributes books written by the editor himself, and are definitely worth checking out. Aside from the name being a bold statement, rather than blood and gore, Exquisite Corpse Journal is something to be seen.
The next topic: I was able to go out and pick up several books on writing. Aside from reading many books on writing, you can never get too much on different styles. I did see "The Elephants of Style" by Bill Walsh, who is also the author of "Lasping into a Comma." Alas, I did not pick up either of these books, but plan to do so in the near future. First, I plan to read the books I did pick up today. One book that I have read about, and have wanted to read for a while is "Eats, Shoots and Leaves." Lynne Struss. This book is one of those little gems that you know you are just going to get something out of it. Another book I have picked up is "A Pocket Style Manual" fourth edition, written by Dianna Hacker. This is another one of those things that you just need. I have openly said, and say now that this book is an excellent companion to William Strunk Jr.'s "Elements of Style." If you have yet to read the "Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini, I will soon not be in the same position, because I finally picked up this book that may just be an instant classic, and, in some people's opinion, it already is a classic.
Lastly, I just want to say....blah, I really do not have much more to say about writing tonight, and no, I do not at this time have an exact tip on writing, but check back. Really, please, come back! Show up at least once, for god's Sake, read my blog PLEASE! Thank you :)
