Alien: Isolation First Impressions

I was watching the funniest thing I've seen (Videogame-wise) in a long time. Game reactors was playing through Alien: Isolation, and prior to stating the game, the guy decided to start up the game on the Xbox One. So the game is on,me clicks start, and it's loading, and loading, and freezing. So he puts in the Playstation 4 version, which apparently showed up in the mail not but a few minutes before, and it loads up within thirty seconds, and it's practically smooth sailing from there. That made me happy, and laugh my ass off. Microsoft is not my favorite company, so I'm not a fan of their products. Still, this was hilarious that the Sony game worked outside the box, and the Xbox One game couldn't get passed the title screen.

The game itself looked great, beautifully designed, very futuristic, very clean, but also very nostalgia to the films. Ripley and the crew (that I saw) looked wonderful in that next-gen glory. Still, the game looked like it would be a pain in the ass to play over the course of days, because this game doesn't give you much wiggle room for mistake. Sega has a hand in this game as well, and I'm sensing a feel of gameplay that comes from the last time Sega had a console.
Still, the game looks fun, you don't see the xenomorph much, but the guy playing it was not the brightest bulb in the outlet,if you catch my drift. The guy played the game like he really wasn't in the mood to play, and then he barely gets into thirty minutes of the game in nearly two hours. Still, I found the game intriguing, and that doesn't mean I want personally play it, but I'll tell you this much, it was impressive for new tech, but it doesn't seem to have that long-lasting quality of Dead Space. I know that seems ironic, since Dead Space is the rip-off of Alien, but I swear this game is nowhere near as terrifying, and the gags are (from what I've seen of it of course) not nearly as terrifying. Hell, Dead Space made me shit myself with having a balloon pop; Alien: Isolation was barely an *eep!* out of me.

Despite all these flaws, I'll say this; I absolutely love the game, it's probably the most interesting one I've seen so far in the next generation consoles. I would say it's got sex appeal, but very limited pillow talk. So if you're looking for something that looks like a ten, but entertains like a two, Alien: Isolation is the game for you!
