Because we're all obsessed: even more E3 predictions for you!

The Electronic Entertainment Expo, it simply cannot get here fast enough, and with so many people obsessing over the gaming community growing even stronger with this generation of software and console cycle, I find myself wondering if predicting the future (which is completely opposite looking forward to the future) of gaming and E3  is more for hype, or a cushion for the inevitable letdowns, because someone, somewhere, is going to be crying that a new Deadly Premonition wasn't in the works, or thwt the Dreamcast 2 will always be a dream.
I made certain predictions about Fallout 4, which it makes sense to show, as they did it with Fallout 3 during E3 just a year or so sfter the launch of the PS 3 and Xbox 360.  So what else can I possibly predic? Are we going to see any gameplay from Telltale on their rendition of the Marvel universe? Is new, unannounced DLC for games like Mortal Kombat X, and GTA V going to be revealed?  Will we see Sweet Tooth in his ice cream truck one last time? And done right this time? Or will we just have a lackluster E3 like two years ago, because it was the early stages of new console cycles? Of course, new inFamous will probably be in the works, but will it show up in detail at E3?
I'm sure the few secrets being kept of E3 will be nice, but I do hope that they do not focus on games only coming out in the three week span after the convention. Yes, we also have San Diego ComiCon to look forward to in the geek world, but with comics sort of becoming the sideshow of the whole convention (trust me, I went to the NYC ComiCon, it was barely about the comics) will we see new games that actually push innovation, and see those on platforms like console, and will they be AAA titles? As stated before, I don't think we all ran out to buy the most powerful consoles on the market, just to play little 2D side-scrollers. Nothing against such games, but I do like me a big-budget games, and sadly those are dying out to the point of being marginalized to another Call of Duty clone, or a thirty year production juggernaut in the next GTA title.
Of course, I could be completely surprised, and with Konami moving out of the business, this means a slightly big hole is left in the market, and thank you again Konami for basically trolling the living hell out of your fans, both domestic, and in the West. Alas, that pissing contest has been done on this blog before, so now we have the forum to discuss something fun, rather than dreadful.
I was very, very excited to here that E3 was going to be long, and accessible from so many places. You can even go to your local theater....well, more like a local theater, that may be ten thousand. lies from you, to watch for free, yes, I said for free, the Sony Press Conference. I'll try to livestream it, or download the app, either way, it'll be the first priority on my list, as it is the second important even of my summer. The XGames is the first for me, personally.  Got to route for my boy, Nyjah Houston though, been watching him skateboard since he had dreadlocks longer than he was, and skated onto the scene in'06. Or was it '07? Damn, I'm getting old!
So here are more predictions for you on E3, if there are any repeats from earlier posts, I apologize

1. A focus on Combat: with games like Killer Instinct on Xbox, and MK X, along with even a port of Street Fighter IV to the newest consoles, so those wishing to have SFV right now can't wait, the combat genre is huge, and has been the staple of genre of games for nearly thirty years. It's nearly impossible to name someone who hasn't play a particular fighting game, as they are as diverse, and dynamic as any other genre go gaming, but the mechanics are,  up until event,y, inherently the same techniques.
Yet, whether you're into Marvel vs Capcom....better enjoy 3, because until we burn down the Epcot Center in protest, you better believe it'll be the last game in the series. Or Mortal Kombat for story and ogre, Street Fighter for over-the-top speed and combos, Tekken for skill, and a challenge, Virtua Fighter because you love in Japan, Persona 4, because you're and Amercian who wishes they lived in Japan, Dead or Alive, because you like to play fighting games with one hand, or even Killer Instinct because Rare was awesome, a fighting game transcends many genres, and can be a great unifier amongst different gamers.
So will we see a fighting genre revolution at E3 this year? Because there is one I forgot to mention above: Twisted Metal for all you gear heads. I know I made a solid prediction about Twisted Metsl last post, but something is amiss, because I thought of another favorite game from a SingleTrac, which turned in 989 Studios, which then turned into whatever the Hell it is now, but could we finally, finally see a new Jetmoto game? Doubtful, but with the lack of racing games, the lack of innovation, and the potential to make a more fascinating Jetmoto title, especially with steampunk and cyberpunk being so popular at the moment, you could truly capitalize on that market.
Jet Moto for you young bloods out there was a racing game that used jet-like mortocycles that went from ground, to water, ands in the sequel, to air throughout a rally cross style racing world. The characters were all sponsored like in the real world, but they each had a personality and their images told stories that were understandable without words. Were the characters stereotypical? Yeah, but in a 90's way, so it's all cool, brah! That's the thing though, it's no longer the 90's, and any replication made to show off the 90's in a modern perspective tends to come off more ironic than slacker/artist, and hurts the nostalgia of it all. Still, for a lack of good racers, Jet Moto was par, even above par for it's time. I know someone will say that you couldn't do a sequel, or even a reimagining, and really, we want more IPs, more original games! Not rehashes. Still, even without the Jet Moto name, I could see potential for a game that actually has similar elements, and done well enough to have some applaud from the gaming world at large.  Will there be a Jet Moto at E 3? All speculation aside, I'm sure we'll see another run-of-the-mill racer, nothing nearly as innovated as Jet Moto in it's prime
     2. One company I failed to mention in predictions last time was Nintendo. They are a nullifying force in the gaming industry, where few people stick with it past age twelve, but run back to it around  their late twenties. Nintendo doesn't really do surprise, they barely do predictable. The company really took risks and they were rewarded, but not as rewarded as the other two of the so-called Big Three, which is a media term given to gaming companies by those who feel this more than entertainment. Truthfully. Nintendo is going to bite the inevitable bullet soon, because it will not keep up with Sony and Microsoft in the long game. I don't say that with either disdain, or glee. I say it with confident indifference. I don't fear an end to Nintendo, because without video games, they are still one of the largest corporations in existence, and plenty of assets outside of the gaming community, it is not the backbone of their business, no matter how much they try to spin it that way. I'm fine with businesses failing,mi can live in a world where a Sondh, a Microsoft, a Sega, or even an Atari go belly-up, because something else will replace it,,and most likely for the better. Success is a dangerous thing in this business, because it allows for laziness to take over, and those who are not on the level will push harder, work better, just to get a taste of what the other big names have had for decades, and for some, centuries.
My prediction for Nintendo, who are not having a press conference, is that they will focus a great deal on miibos, Wii U applications, which expand beyond simplistic ones from former systems, and perhaps they will show off a new title for Zelda/Mario/Metroid/yawn, and not ever dare to differentiate from the product one bit, not even to introduce a legitimate title that has even half the passion as Luigi's Mansion. Nintendo is fat and happy, and it they stay too close by the watering hole, a hostile takeover in the form of a predatory start-up is going to break it's chubby neck.
   3. Sorry for the Nintendo hate, which really isn't hate, as I stated above, I don't care if they pass the grade, or fail to make it to the ninth generation console cycle. I must find they're lacking innovation, which comes disguised as such, because they think they can push toys as games, and vice-versa, they're using the innovation in the wrong departments is the point. Speaking of a lack of innovation, here is my pick for the top five worst sequels you'll all be gags for, that are coming out so predictably, it's not even worth listing:
      1.  Call of Duty: Space, or something completely stupid.
2.Assassin's Creed's bastard cousin: Watch Dogs, because the French hate American politics, and most Americans are now French enough to agree.
     3. That game everyone but you plays, apparently: Ghost Recon
    4. The snob's game: whatever is coming out from Quantic Dreams. ( Oh! You simply don't get the fact that it's art on. Scree! Why would you want to control, when you are the puppet with that controller being your string! Where's my million dollar cheese, Jeeves?)
5. Finally, and to end this post, I believe that we are going to see a sneak peak at another dumb Marvel game for two year olds, thwt pele in their thirties will pretend to love, simply because Iron man (who everyone hated before  2000) is in it.
